St. Insane

Grande Prairie, Alberta - 2011

Recently a privy council order arrived in my mailbox.  "Check out this song," it read, and then "This message will self-destruct."  In the proceeding combustion I lost my right thumb.  Oh well.  I hardly used it.

Along with the exploding paper I found a USB key containing 'Insane' by Planet Space on mp3.  The track is a swirling, laughter-filled funhouse.  All kinds of voice-sounds weave and collide in impossible rhythms.

Planet Space is Breanna.  She sent me this picture she took of a dead fox, frozen, standing up, on a peace country road.

'Insane' is available as a free download on the new Peace Country Diaspora compilation, a collection that is very much worth your time.  Full disclosure:  The compilation is my excuse for the last several days of silence; it's my latest project: a label to represent some of the stranger and better musicians from the peace, like Breanna.  It features almost all my favourite songs from the Peace Country.  CHECK IT/US OUT.  Please!
