Calgary, 2008
Before they renamed themselves Braids -at a concert opening for Deerhunter in Montreal- these four Calgarians were The Neighbourhood Council. Their 'Set Pieces' EP is taken from live studio recordings they made at the University of Calgary's CJSW in 2008 -a year of magical music in Calgary. St. Philomena has urged us to write about that year in a later post. Her will is our command.
